Whey Cool Kid’s Day Camp
Weekly in august 6th, 14th, 22nd & 27th- 9am-1pm*
$55 per child- morning snack provided- child to bring lunch, hat, sunscreen, shoes, water bottle, towel
*option to extend camp from 1-3pm-$20 (afternoon snack provided)
for ages 8-12yrs old

We’ve crafted a fun-filled itinerary, carefully designed by a member of the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT), to promote essential life skills through:
· Creative crafts and activities
· Hands-on learning
· Imaginative play
· Physical movement and more!

Week 1 – Summer Friends
Time Activity
9 Arrival
9:05-9:10 After packing up toys, walk to park
9:15-9:30 pick a walking partner & walking to park, getting to know this person
9:30-10:45 play at park
10:45-11 walk back
11-11:25 snack break
11:25-30 clean up
11:30-12:15 Camp is a Handful of Fun Art Activity – Create Hand Cut-Outs for each kid, (they will trace both hands with the help of a partner and then decorate the hands how they’d like), on a bristol board with “camp is a handful of fun”, kids can organize their hands around the board
12:15-12:45 Eat Lunch
12:45-1 Human Bingo — Create a bingo card with various descriptions or qualities (e.g., “Has a pet dog,” “Loves pizza”). Children mingle and find others who match each description, aiming to fill their entire bingo card.

Week 2 — Connect with Nature

9:05-9:10 After packing up toys, walk to park
9:15-9:30 pick a walking partner & walking to park, getting to know this person
9:30-10:45 play at park — have a nature scavenger hunt for kids
10:45-11 walk back
11-11:25 snack break
11:30-12:15 Bird Feeders out of Recycled Materials OR Create Dirt Cups with Worms (using pudding, gummy worms, cookies, etc)
12:15-12:45 Lunch
12:45-1 Human Knot – Children stand in a circle and each participant randomly grabs the hand of another person across the circle, creating a “human knot.” The group must work together to untangle themselves without letting go of each other’s hands
Week 3 — Move & Groove
9 Arrival
9:05-9:10 After packing up toys, walk to park
9:15-9:30 pick a walking partner & walking to park, getting to know this person
9:30-10:45 play at park — kids can work in groups to come up with a dance to share later
10:45-11 walk back
11-11:25 snack break
11:30-12:15 kids will get moving and do some dancing, using just dance videos to follow, then, kids can play simon says with dance moves changing up who is simon, after, tissue dance — where kids have to balance a tissue paper on their head while they walk around and dance
12:15-12:45 Lunch
12:45-1 kids will colour/create a mandala to end the day, share any dances they came up with
Week 4- Trip to the Beach
9 Arrival
9:05-9:10 After packing up toys, walk to park
9:15-9:30 pick a walking partner & walking to park, getting to know this person
9:30-10:45 play at park — play a version of grounder/the floor is lava but it’s water
10:45-11 walk back
11-11:25 snack break
11:30-12:15 Under the Sea — kids create an ocean in a bottle using sand, shells, and coloured water
12:15-12:45 Lunch
12:45-1 Create a paper Seashell — kids can create a paper fan to mimic a seashell, then colour and decorate the shel
