Have you tried goat milk fresh from the farm? You must try River’s Edge Goat Milk. Most people can’t tell the difference in taste between River’s Edge Goat Milk and dairy cow’s milk. The biggest difference between goat milk and cow milk is digestibility. Goat milk has smaller fat and protein globules; therefore it is easier to digest than cow’s milk.
Goat milk is often given to young children as a transition from breast milk at the time of weaning. Seniors and cancer patients have also found our goat milk to be an easily digested source of nutrition.
Our milk is full fat, pasteurized, but not homogenized. Nothing added, nothing taken away. 4.0-5.5% milk fat depending on the time of year. Highest milk fat occurs in the Spring and Fall.
Our milk is in high demand and is produced seasonally, March to December.

In 1999, Katie Normet and her family purchased an abused and abandoned piece of land. After six years of building and land improvement, River’s Edge Goat Dairy was established in 2005. Today, goals of the farm are to continue to improve the land, educate about food and farming, preserve Ontario farmland, and of course, to make the best cheeses possible.
