An Evening with Chefs John and Rosemary
The Cheese Bar is thrilled to welcome Chef John Alvarez and Chef Rosemary Woods the owners of F&B
Walkerville and The Grand Cantina. F&B Walkerville is an intimate small plates and craft cocktail restaurant below Blackburn Radio. The Grand Cantina serves global street food with a focus on tacos in a hip space with great vibes. Recently, John and Rosemary announced they will be opening a restaurant in the Walkerville Power Building, location on the corner of Riverside drive and Devonshire Road.
John and Rosemary will be sharing their culinary expertise with The Cheese Bar guests. It should be a really great event – and an opportunity for those in attendance to learn quite a bit and get a taste of their plans for the next restaurant. For the evening’s experience:
PEI Oysters – we will show everyone how to shuck an oyster and open it up to everyone who would like to try it.
Seared Fish – we will pick the exact fish closer to the event – that way we can find something that is really fresh. Chef John will show everyone how to break down a whole fish and then prepare it.
Dry Aged Ribeye – we will talk about the dry aging process and serve this beautiful cut with confit fingerling potatoes and broccoli.
The class includes an ample portion of each food item plus a sample sized beverage alcohol pairing for each menu item. Wine is available for purchase by the glass.
Patrons must be 19 years of age or older.
